Inspiration from the stars
Polaris takes its inspiration from celestial navigation at sea - the first star we need to help us find our way, regardless of whether it is calm or stormy.
It can be made in a mix of mohair and dk yarns for an extra warm layer of soft, fluffy comfort or in the all dk yarn of your choice.
A hug of a garment, the Polaris Bomber was designed with knitting in mind, specifically the textured ‘fisherman’s rib’. It’s an ode to all the chunky knitted cardigans I have ever lusted after. However, with no disrespect to the incredible art of knitting, with this design I set out to prove that anything you can knit, you can crochet too.
For too long, crochet was mistakenly regarded as knitting’s poorer cousin. However, the revival crochet has had in recent years and continues to have, proves not only its popularity but also its versatility. With this design, I have aimed to illustrate that you don’t have to be a ‘wannabe knitter’ you can be a proud crocheter and create anything you want!
